Trio of Chippewas Named to Hampshire Honor Society

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Three Central Michigan football players have been named to the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society, which comprises football players who maintain a cumulative 3.2 grade point average or better throughout their collegiate career.

CMU offensive lineman Derek Edwards, defensive end Joe Ostman and wide receiver Mark Chapman were named to the honor society. All three completed their eligibility in 2017. They are three of a record 1,251 players representing 302 universities and colleges who qualified for membership in 2018.
