Three stars from the Quick Lane Bowl

The Chippewas had a chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter, but a costly turnover by quarterback Cooper Rush cost CMU during the team's 21-14 loss to Minnesota on Monday during the 2015 Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit.

Three stars from the game:

1. Minnesota quarterback Mitch Leidner

There was some buzz before the game about Leidner potentially sharing reps with backup passer Denny Croft, but U-M's starter made benching hard to justify.

Leider was efficient throwing the ball and ran for the game-winning touchdown with less than 10 minutes remaining in the game as he picked up Quick Lane Bowl Most Valuable Player honors.
