Weather finally cooperated as Central Michigan softball dropped three road games to Ohio this weekend in its opening Mid-American Conference series.
CMU dropped both games March 23 — 4-3 in game one and 8-5 game two. The Chippewas fell 5-1 in the series finale.
The Chippewas now hold a 9-15 record (0-3 MAC). Ohio improves to 14-12 (3-0 MAC).
Starters Struggle
In game one, senior starting pitcher Hanna Warren faced only four batters before being pulled. The senior failed to record an out while allowing three runs (two earned) off three hits. Junior Laura Vaccaro pitched six innings in relief, allowing one earned run off five hits, walking one and striking out two Bobcats.
