Softball. Softball Takes Series With Niightcap Win

MUNCIE, Ind. — CarolAnn Sexauer singled, doubled, tripled and drove in three runs Saturday in leading the Central Michigan softball team to a 9-2 victory over Ball State in the second game of a Mid-American Conference doubleheader at the BSU Softball Complex.

Ball State won the opener, 2-1. The game-two in gave the Chippewas, who won Friday’s opener, 1-0, their second straight MAC series win. CMU, which has won four of its last five games, is 20-22-1 overall, 7-9-1 MAC. Ball State is 19-29, 5-13.

Allison Curtis and Katelyn Rentschler each drove in two runs for CMU in the nightcap.
