MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Margo Jonker is well into her fourth decade as Central Michigan’s softball coach, so she knows very well the weight carried by the words potential and expectations.
The Chippewas enter the 2016 season with plenty of both as they return their top pitcher and most of their starting lineup from a squad that won 19 of its last 27 starts in 2015 to finish 27-23.
“We’ve had experienced teams that have done well, and we’ve had experienced teams that have too-high expectations and put too much pressure on themselves,” Jonker said.
