MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan was picked to win the West and is the co-favorite to win the Mid-American Conference Tournament in a poll of league coaches released Wednesday.
CMU received seven first-place votes in topping the West Division. Ball State, with three first-place votes, was second, followed by Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Toledo and Eastern Michigan.
Miami (Ohio) was picked to win the East Division, followed by Ohio, Kent State, Akron, Buffalo and Bowling Green. The RedHawks received three first-placed votes, while Ohio and Kent State received four each.
