EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Central Michigan softball team dropped its fourth-straight game Wednesday, falling 10-7 in a non-conference game to Michigan State at the Spartans’ Secchia Stadium.
The Chippewas slipped to 13-16. Michigan State is 19-14. CMU, which is 0-3 in Mid-American Conference play, entertains Akron in a three-game MAC series beginning Friday (3 p.m.). The Zips are 17-15, 1-2.
MSU jumped up early with a five-run second inning. The Chippewas closed within 7-5 with three runs in the fifth, but MSU answered with three in the bottom of the sixth to make it 10-5.
