MIAMI, Ohio – Madison Costner scored in the final five minutes of regulation time to send the Central Michigan soccer team to overtime in its Mid-American Conference at Miami (Ohio) on Friday.
However, the RedHawks got the game-winner just over six minutes into the extra session in posting a 2-1 win over the Chippewas.
CMU slipped to 6-6-3, 1-4-2 MAC while Miami is 1-12-1, 1-5-1. Central Michigan will look to bounce back on Sunday (2 p.m.) at Ball State (6-6-2, 4-1-1).
“There was some high highs and low lows,” CMU coach Peter McGahey said.
