Soccer aims to keep MAC Tournament hopes alive this weekend

Looking to keep its postseason hopes alive, the Central Michigan women’s soccer team has a three-game home-stand to finish out the regular season.

“It will be nice to play three games in front of the friendly fans," head coach Peter McGahey said. "At this point in the season, they become like one-game playoff games."

Central Michigan will host Northern Illinois (8-6-1, 5-3 MAC) on Thursday and Western Michigan (8-6-1, 3-4-1) on Sunday, as both games are Mid-American Conference battles. CMU currently sits 6-7-3 on the season and 1-5-2 in conference play.

Last year, the Chippewas bounced WMU and were shutout by NIU.
