MUNCIE, Ind. – Central Michigan did all its scoring in the eighth inning on Sunday in taking a 7-4 win over Ball State in the third and final game of a Mid-American Conference series, giving CMU the series win at the Cardinals' First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
The Chippewas, who scored 23 runs on Saturday in taking game two of the series, improved to 9-18-1 and 4-2 MAC. Ball State is 14-13, 3-3.
CMU is scheduled to play host to Cleary in a nonconference game on Wednesday (3:05 p.m.) at Theunissen Stadium.
