MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Shawn Roundtree was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for men’s basketball.
Roundtree, a junior in his first season at CMU after transferring from Mineral Area (Mo.) College, was named the Most Outstanding Player in leading the Chippewas to a 3-0 finish and the championship of the 40th and final Great Alaska Shootout.
Roundtree averaged 15 points, 5.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds in CMU’s three games in the tournament as it became the first MAC team to win the Shootout.
