Report: Football hires new offensive coordinator, running backs coach

After losing both its offensive coordinator and running backs coach in the less than a month, the Central Michigan football team has filled those positions.

According to coachingserach.com, the Chippewas hired Northern Michigan head coach Chris Ostrowsky as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Ostrowsky was the head coach for NMU the past five seasons. He led the team to an 18-36 record during his tenure. The Wildcats finished last season 3-8 and ranked eighth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in total offense.

Ostrowsky's hire comes a few weeks after offensive coordinator Gino Guidugli departed to be the running backs coach at Cincinnati.
