Rapid Reaction: Akron 89, CMU 85

Marcus Keene and Braylon Rayson combined for 60 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Central Michigan men’s basketball fell to Akron, 89-85 Tuesday night at McGuirk Arena.

The loss dropped the Chippewas to 10-6 on the season and 0-3 in the Mid-American Conference. It was CMU's first home loss of the season.

Keene caught fire in the second half scoring 22 of his 33 points after halftime and Rayson finished with 27 points for CMU.

Rayson started fast scoring 13 points in the first six minutes of the first half.
