Freshman forward Alexis Pelafas readies to cross the ball against Illinois State Sunday afternoon at the CMU Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium. The Chippewas lost to the Redbirds, 1-0 in overtime.
Central Michigan women's soccer sophomore Lexi Pelafas was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
After leading the Chippewas with four goals in 2015, the Wheaton, Illinois native tied that mark two games into the 2016 season.
Pelafas scored both goals in the team's 2-0 win in the season opener at Duquesne on Friday and scored twice again in a 3-1 victory at Robert Morris on Sunday.
