MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Lexi Pelafas was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer.
Pelafas, a junior from Wheaton, Ill., scored three goals in CMU’s 4-2 nonconference victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday. The hat trick, the first of her career and the fourth in the 19-year history of the program, brought Pelafas’ career goal total to 26 and moved her into a tie for the most in Chippewa history.
Pelafas leads the Chippewas in goals (6) and points (13) this season and is tied for the league lead in goals.
