PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Nick Stokowski had three hits including a double and a two-run homer and Central Michigan scored two unearned runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good Wednesday en route to a 9-7 victory over Georgetown at North Charlotte Regional Park.
It was the second straight win for the Chippewas (5-7), who wrap up their Spring Break trip with a three-game series with Central Florida in Orlando beginning on Friday.
Stokowski led an 11-hit CMU attack, only one of which, an Alex Borglin single, came during a two-run fourth inning when the Chippweas scored twice to break a 6-6 tie.
