Over the course of the last seven days the 15th-ranked Central Michigan University wrestling team has competed in three dual meets.
Last weekend the Chippewas grilled the Buffalo Bulls by a final of 35-3 on the road. They followed that up with a 29-3 road win at Eastern Michigan Friday before crushing rival Kent State to the tune of 40-3 from McGuirk Arena Sunday on ‘Senior Day.’
While the Chippewas were favored in each of the aforementioned matches they weren’t favored to the extent that they competed. In short, the Chippewas won 27 of the 30 bouts in these three matches and outscored their opposition 239-79 en route to these victories.
