MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Nine Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference field hockey team.
To be eligible for Academic All-MAC, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participate in 50 percent of the team’s contests.
Junior Leah Umberger, who is an exercise science: kinesiology major and led the team with a 3.96 grade point average, earned the honor for the second consecutive year. Sophomore Georgina Minta is a law and economics major with a 3.94 GPA.
Five other Chippewas were named to the squad for the second consecutive year, including Lily Amadio, junior, 3.
