NCAA notebook: Chippewas at their best in tournament

COLUMBUS, OHIO - A national television audience and 3,500 fans in St. John Arena saw the Central Michigan women's basketball team take control and dismiss Ohio State from the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament on Monday.

The 95-78 victory puts the Chippewas (30-4) into the Sweet Sixteen. They did with the starting five playing all but seven minutes of the game. By making 75 percent of their 3-point shots in the second half. By outrebounding the Big Ten regular-season and Big Ten Tournament champions, 46-35.

The question at the postgame press conference was simple: Has CMU coach Sue Guevara ever seen her team play so well?
