MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Tinara Moore capped an outstanding senior season and sensational career at Central Michigan by earning All-America Honorable Mention from the Associated Press.
The Southgate, Mich. native is the first AP All-American in CMU women’s basketball history.
“it’s really special,” said Sue Guevara, who is in her 11th year in charge of the Chippewa program. “I hate to be cliché, but hard work pays off. You look at Tinara capping her career by being an All-American after playing only four, five minutes a game during her freshman season.
“I’ve said all year long if you’re a fresh you can see what happens when you commit yourself and you work and you listen and embrace and accept the challenge.
