BIMINI, Bahamas – Vastly different climate, but a familiar opponent.
The Central Michigan men’s basketball team will head to the Junkanoo Jam at Resorts World Bimini in mid-November and will open against CSU Bakersfield. The Chippewas defeated the Roadrunners, 75-72, to win the Great Alaska Shootout.
The Chippewas and CSU Bakersfield will open the tournament at 6 p.m. on Nov. 15. San Jose State and Weber State are slated to meet in the second game. Games are scheduled through Sunday, Nov. 18.
“We are looking forward to playing against a high-quality field in a great location this season,” said Keno Davis, who is entering his seventh season as the Chippewas’ head coach.
