Marcus Keene aims for Central Michigan single-season scoring record as Chippewas host Buffalo Tuesday night

Central Michigan junior guard Marcus Keene needs 12 points Tuesday night versus Buffalo to become the school’s all-time single-season leading scorer.

Keene and the Chippewas (16-9, 6-6 Mid-American Conference) will tip off at 7 p.m. against the Bulls (13-12, 7-5) at McGuirk Arena.

After being held to a season-low 12 points Saturday in an 81-76 loss at Miami, Keene still needs another 12 points to surpass Dan Majerle (759, 1987-88) as the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Keene, a transfer from Youngstown State who sat out the 2015-16 season, has been the nation’s leading scorer for almost the entire year.
