ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Two straight weekend meets at Grand Valley State’s Kelly Family Sports Center mark the conclusion of the indoor track and field regular season for Central Michigan.
Now, it’s on to the Mid-American Conference Championships, and it’s decision time for CMU Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Mark Guthrie and his assistant coaches.
With 29 CMU student-athletes already meeting the qualifying standards for next week at Akron, 23 represented the Chippewas at the Grand Valley Tune-Up Meet on Friday. At least a dozen entered the meet within striking distance of meeting the qualifying standard in their respective event.
