JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Shane Moffo finished 20th in the men’s 110-meter hurdles Saturday for the top performance among Central Michigan student-athletes at the NCAA Track & Field East Preliminary at North Florida’s Hodges Stadium.
None of the 12 Chippewas who competed in the three-day event advanced to the NCAA Championships, which are June 8-11 at the University of Oregon.
Moffo, a sophomore, finished his event in 14.03 seconds.
Also for the Chippewas on Saturday, senior Devene Brown placed 29th in the women’s shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 6 ½ inches; freshman Jake Peister was 38th in the men’s triple jump (49-3 ½); and freshman Kevin Weiler placed 47th in the men’s shot put (49-1 ¾).
