SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Central Michigan recorded eight top-10 finishes Friday during the opening day of the 29th annual Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame’s Loftus Sports Center.
Cole Walderzak turned in the top finish by a Chippewa student-athlete, finishing second in the men’s weight throw with a 69 feet, 6 ¾ inches.
CMU’s Gabriella Beauvais placed third in women’s long jump at 19-3 ¼.
The Chippewa men got sixth-place finishes from Tylor Blake and Diavonte Smith. Smith was sixth in the long jump at 23-6, while Blake was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 21.
