MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan men’s and women’s cross country teams earned All-Academic recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The Chippewas were among 205 women’s teams and 172 men’s team so honored.
The CMU women recorded a cumulative 3.51 grade point average, the men a 3.49, which put them among the top 20 in the nation.
It is the second consecutive year that both CMU squads have been honored.
“Jen Gellock and the entire academic services staff should be praised for all their hard work and dedication to our student-athletes,” associated head coach Matt Kaczor said.
