MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - A lot of new faces, a lot of excitement, a lot of optimism.
Coach Keno Davis put his 2016-17 Central Michigan men's basketball on display with a public scrimmage followed by the annual Media Day Sunday night at McGuirk Arena.
A good percentage of the roster is new - eight players who will suit up for CMU this season did not appear in a Chippewa uniform a year ago - and Davis and his staff will retool in the wake of the graduation of an outstanding corps of student-athletes who were at the center of the program's rebuilding efforts when Davis arrived at CMU five seasons ago.
