MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — It was The Marcus Keene Show at McGuirk Arena on Saturday as the Central Michigan men’s basketball team downed Division II Slippery Rock, 91-74, in an exhibition game.
The Chippewas open their season next on Friday, Nov.11, against Indiana Kokomo at 7 p.m.
“I was very pleased with our guys’ energy and effort and yet we know we have to continue to try and get better as the season goes on,” CMU coach Keno Davis said. “Scheduling an exhibition game at the point we are at with our program, we wanted to challenge ourselves and give us something to work on, seeing (Slippery Rock) gave us that opportunity.
