MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Chris Fowler, one of the all-time greats in Central Michigan basketball history, was selected on Sunday by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Development League Draft.
Fowler, who graduated from CMU in 2016, went to the Mad Ants with the seventh pick in the second round (29th overall). He reports to the club on Monday. Fort Wayne opens its season on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Greensboro.
“I’m really happy for Chris,” CMU coach Keno Davis said. “As our fans well know there was no one more driven to have team success, and also to have individual success and improve as a player, than Chris.
