The Central Michigan men’s basketball team goes to Akron on Friday (8 p.m.) in a showdown of Mid-American Conference division leaders. CMU tops the West with a 6-3 league mark, while Akron leads the East at 7-2.
Akron is 18-4 overall and has won five straight games. The Chippewas are 13-9 and have won their last four starts. The teams were picked to win their respective divisions in the preseason media poll.
