MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- No, it won’t be as intensive as, say, basic training.

Still, a good part of what the Central Michigan men’s basketball team will do this weekend when it travels to The Bahamas is about business.

The Chippewas are scheduled to leave Thursday morning for the island nation just off the coast of Florida. They will play three exhibition games against Bahamas-based semiprofessional teams beginning on Friday. They will return to Mount Pleasant on Tuesday.

“They’ll have some time to enjoy the trip and come together as a team,” CMU coach Keno Davis said of his players, six of whom will play for the first time in CMU maroon and gold.
