MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Central Michigan men’s basketball team is in the postseason.
No, it isn’t the tournament the Chippewas had desired as they went through the regular season and the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
But it is a tournament, and it presents plenty of opportunities, coach Keno Davis said.
“The motivation is obviously different,” Davis said Tuesday as he prepared his team to play UT-Martin in a first-round CIT game Wednesday, 7 p.m., at McGuirk Arena. “It’s postseason play whether you’re in the NCAA tournament, the NIT or the CIT.
