As incoming freshmen, returning students and visitors flock to Mount Pleasant for Welcome Weekend, some of Central Michigan University's student-athletes will sport their maroon and gold on volleyball courts and soccer fields in New York, Pennsylvania and Oakland.
Friday marks the beginning of the 2017 season for Central Michigan volleyball and field hockey. For its fourth game of the season, the soccer team will play on its home field against Robert Morris. Volleyball kicks off its first two matches of the Army Invitational in West Point, New York, and field hockey opens the season against Saint Francis in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
