MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Jocelyn Lemay was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for lacrosse.
Lemay, a junior from Peterborough, Ont., played a central role in road victories over Furman and Wofford as the Chippewas improved to 9-5 and 4-0 in the league.
She scored four goals on seven shots and also had four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and eight draw controls. Her goal late against Furman helped the Chippewas secure a 13-10 come-from-behind victory.
Lemay has started all 14 of the Chippewas’ games and ranks second on the team with 29 goals and is fourth with 31 points.
