MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Year two. The bar is raised, the expectations higher.

Coach Sarah Tisdale and the Central Michigan women's lacrosse team opens the 2017 season with a three-day, two-game trip to Pennsylvania. The Chippeaws are scheduled to play St. Francis on Thursday (3 p.m.) and Robert Morris on Saturday (noon). The home opener is Thursday, Feb. 23, against Marquette.

The Chippewas finished a respectable 6-10 in their inaugural season, when the roster comprised 24 freshmen and one sophomore.

Most of the offensive leaders from last year, including Jocelyn Lemay, Anna Schoonover, and Riley Huda, are back.
