MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Another week, another Mid-American Conference honor for Central Michigan’s Rachael Knapp.
Knapp, a senior right-hander from St. Joseph, was named the MAC West Pitcher of the Week for her weekend performance in a three-game series against Kent State and a nonconference contest against No. 20 Michigan. It marked the fifth time this season that Knapp has been so honored.
The Chipppewas went 2-2 on the week, taking two of three MAC games from the Golden Flashes, and dropping a 2-0 decision to Michigan.
Knapp started three of those games, going 1-2 with a 1.
