MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Marcus Keene was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for men’s basketball.
Keene, a junior guard from San Antonio, averaged 34.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in leading the Chippewas to a pair victories last week.
On Tuesday, Keene scored a game-high 28 points and had five assists and three rebounds in an 82-76 win over Bowling Green at McGuirk Arena. On Saturday, Keene again garnered the national spotlight, fueling a 105-98 overtime win at Kent State.
