BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Within a shot of the record book, and within a good round of a potential tournament title.
Natalie Johnson shot a one-over par 73 on Saturday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team to a 312 total in the first round of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club.
The 312 total and Johnson's 73 were both one shot shy of program records.
More importantly, the Chippewas are squarely in the hunt for the tournament title as they stand in second place in the 10-team event, seven shots behind Mid-American Conference foe Ohio.
