Independence CC cornerback Dishon McNary commits to Central Michigan

Since the final game of the season on Nov. 23, Central Michigan lost their two starting cornerbacks due entering the NFL draft early.

With Sean Bunting and Xavier Crawford out of the picture, new coach Jim McElwain needed to fill the void.

He found the answer at Independence Community College, a junior college (NJCAA) in Kansas, in cornerback Dishon McNary.

McNary announced his decision to attend Central Michigan on Dec. 18, and he will be eligible to play in the 2019 season.

"These last two years have been a journey, but I'm very blessed to say that I've made it through," McNary wrote.
