KENT, Ohio - Central Michigan point guard Presley Hudson had an afternoon Saturday as she led the Chippewas to a 91-78 victory over host Kent State in both teams’ Mid-American Conference opener from the M.A.C. Center.
The sophomore scored a career-high 36 points and had five assists, six steals and four rebounds en route to the victory.
Her 36-point effort is third best in single game history, tying her with Sylvia Odum (1985), Sue Nissen (1988) and Crystal Bradford (2013 and 2014).
Hudson, who had 20 first-half points, hit her first six 3-pointers in the game and went 13-for-19 from the field and 8-for-11 from downtown.
