MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Presley Hudson has received the Team First Award from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan for the 2016-17 season.
The award goes to players who exemplify the ideals of putting the team above self, and of commitment, teamwork, service and sacrifice.
Hudson is one of five collegiate players to earn the honor. The others are Sarah LewAllen of Michigan Tech, Leah Somerfield of Oakland, Siera Thompson of Michigan and Meredith Shipman of Western Michigan.
Hudson, a 5-foot-6 guard from Wayland, was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team and to the Academic All-MAC Team, and earned the Chippewas’ Most Valuable Player Award.
