The Central Michigan lacrosse team will take on Butler on Wednesday (3 p.m.) at the CMU Lacrosse-Soccer Stadium.
It is the home opener for the Chippewas, who are in their third year of intercollegiate lacrosse.
CMU (1-2) is coming off a 1-1 road trip to Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. The Chippewas defeated American, 12-10, and lost to La Salle, 18-6.

• CMU’s Shannon Doyle was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a combined six goals in the games with American and La Salle. Doyle leads the Chippewas with eight goals, while Tyra Prince has six goals on a team-high 15 shots.
