The Central Michigan University gymnastics team opens the 2017 home docket on Friday night when it hosts defending Mid-American Conference champion Eastern Michigan at 7 p.m. from McGuirk Arena.
The Chippewas come into the dual riding high as they are 3-0 overall and 1-0 in MAC action after winning at Western Michigan last weekend.
CMU comes into Friday’s home dual ranked 37th nationally while the Eagles are ranked 41st.
In short this is a key conference dual for both teams in the race for the regular-season title.
