With less than four weeks left until the Sept. 1 season opener at home versus Presbyterian, the Central Michigan football team hit the ground running at its first practice Friday afternoon.
One day after the entire roster excelled in passing the conditioning test, the Chippewas received strong grades from second-year head coach John Bonamego for their effort and focus during the initial two-hour session.
The fitness of CMU’s roster as well as the overall health of the squad took precedent in Bonamego’s post-practice remarks.
“It’s great to have everybody back healthy and they’re in very good shape,” Bonamego said.
