Halftime by the numbers: CMU 13, URI 0

With sunny and blue sky, a fan base re-energized and a new season upon us, the Central Michigan football team took the field to open up the 2017 season with new hopes and goals.

That energy did find its way onto the field, it just took awhile before everything started working for CMU.

In the first quarter it wasn't very promising for the Chippewas offense. While they did total six first downs and rack up 104 total yards, they failed to get the ball in the end zone. CMU was on the move, but graduate transfer quarterback Shane Morris threw an interception when he was being pressured on an errant pass downfield.
