KENT, OHIO — Gymnastics knocked off Mid-American Conference rival Kent State on Sunday 195.775 to 195.675, posting its highest score of the season.
“This is such a big rivalry, its going to mean a tremendous amount for us,” said head coach Jerry Reighard.
The Chippewas improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the MAC.
“None of us were sure of the results until (Kent State's) final floor competitor finished,” Reighard said. “Mentally, this was really good for us.
