BOSTON -- Central Michigan women’s basketball coach Sue Guevara is the recipient of the 2018 Kay Yow National Coach of the Year Award.

Guevara led the Chippewas to the best season in program history in 2017-18, winning the Mid-American Conference regular-season and tournament titles and taking her team to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. She was named the MAC Coach of the Year for the second time in three seasons.
“It takes a village and I’ve said this before, I just happen to be the mayor of women’s basketball,” Guevara said.
