MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Six Central Michigan student-athletes were named a Distinguished Scholar Athlete by the Mid-American Conference for the spring, 2016 season.
The award goes to student-athletes representing MAC institutions who have excelled both athletically and academically.
In each of the eight spring sports, the league names an Academic All-MAC team. Student-athletes must have achieved a 3.20 grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s competitions to earn the honor.
From those academic teams, the faculty athletic representatives selected a ‘best of the best’ as a Distinguished Scholar Athlete.
