From Cul-De-Sac Dreams to the Big Dance

SPOKANE, WASH. - Everything Cassie Breen has worked for since she was a child learning to love basketball in front of her home in Woodhaven, Mich., came together Monday in the second round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.

Ohio State held a 16-14 lead early in the second quarter against Central Michigan as its All-American guard, Kelsey Mitchell, took a shot near the foul line. Stephanie Mavunga, Ohio State's 6-3 senior and a First Team All-Big Ten forward, went up for the rebound.

As Mavunga came down, Breen pulled at the basketball and yanked it free.
