Starting in 2020, the Central Michigan football team will play San Jose State as a part of a two-game series.
The Chippewas will battle the Spartans at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Sept. 5, 2020, while San Jose State will host CMU on Aug. 30, 2025.
“The second game with San Jose State will give our student-athletes a chance to play in the heart of Silicon Valley and see a historical campus in downtown San Jose,” CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said in a press release Friday.
CMU and San Jose State have met twice, in which the Chippewas have a 1-1 record.
